Chandlery
One of the largest and most comprehensively stocked yacht shops in the North West.
ABC Powermarine's chandlery at Gallows Point, Beaumaris stocks a wide range of marine products - from small screws to ropes; from oils and greases to inflatable tenders; and from shackles and rigging fittings to engines.
We aim to be able to supply the needs of all boat users, from cruising sailors to commercial fishermen, from water-skiers to anglers, from kayakers to yacht racers - and most importantly, for those who just want to mess about in boats!
The sections below summarise some of our main product areas, but as we carry around 7,000 different lines and are stockists of most major marine brands, there's much, much more that isn't listed.
Outboard and Inboard Engines
Our chandlery stocks a wide range of Mercury Outboards, with models on display up to approximately 15hp.
Most models of Mercury auxiliary outboard are available from stock and these can usually be given a Pre-Delivery Inspection at short notice so you can get afloat straight away. Please click the link on the left if you're looking for engine specifications or contact us for prices.
We also maintain a stock of 3- and 4-cylinder Mercury outboard engines (up to 150hp) and are often able to offer special prices on these stock engines - please contact us for prices.
We also usually carry a small stock of Vetus Diesel and Yanmar Marine diesel engines, with models up to 30hp often available from stock, otherwise these are usually available within a few days.
Raymarine
We are proud to be a Raymarine dealer, stocking products from a world leader in high performance marine electronics for recreational boating and the light commercial market.
We stock the Raymarine Dragonfly range of combined GPS Plotters, as well as ES Series and Axiom multifunctional displays, ready to be used with a range of sensors to give you complete control of your environment. We are able to supply and fit everything from 'one box' units to multi-screen systems with Raymarine Quantum radar and side-scan sonar - we would be pleased to provide a quote, whatever your requirements.
Nuova Rade & Lalizas
As a dealer for Lalizas, we carry a significant stock of a wide range of products, ranging from navigation lights to life ring, engine covers to lifejacket lights, boarding ladders to auxiliary outboard brackets and a range of Ocean Fenders.
The Nuova Rade range of plastic products is very wide, including hatches, hull fittings, boat hooks, drain bungs, hull fittings, fuel tanks, deck fillers and much more!
Many of these parts are used by boat manufacturers and we are often able to offer identical replacement parts at considerably improved prices!
Sailing - RWO and Marlow
We have expanded our sailing section in response to demand, becoming an RWO Marine Equipment dealer. We stock a wide range of deck hardware for racing and cruising yachts and also for dinghies, including blocks, cleats, hull fittings and tiller extensions.
We have stocked Marlow ropes for over two decades and are pleased to offer what we believe to be the market leader. Our selection of ropes covers pretty much every need for boats up to about 50ft.
Antifouling and Paint
ABC Powermarine are a distributor for Hempel paints and stock virtually the whole range. Hempel was formerly known as Blakes Paints and is a globally-recognised market leader in coating technologies. The range includes antifoulings, topcoats, deckpaints, varnishes, two-pack systems and osmosis treatment systems.
We have also stock top-selling International antifoulings and paints at the chandlery and can obtain non-stocked lines within a couple of days.
To compliment these, we have Harris painting tools, SP Systems and West epoxy systems and Sika sealants - in addition to a range of cleaning and polishing products including Farecla, August Race and StarBrite.
Weatherproof clothing
Helly Hansen was founded in 1877 and has brought many innovations to the outdoor clothing sector, including fleece and the LIFA thermal baselayer. We stock a wide selection of Helly Hansen sailing jackets, leisurewear and footwear.
We also have the iconic Musto brand in our chandlery. Musto waterproofs are the choice of ocean racing yachters and Musto weathergear is chosen by the RNLI for its offshore lifeboats.
Powermarine also maintains a stock of Douglas Gill weathergear and sailing boots, as well as Regatta outdoor wear.
Leisurewear
One of the favourite brands in our chandlery is Orca Bay - if you you're looking for footwear, we reckon there's no better deck shoe. They are one of very few companies who still swear by hand-stitched moccasins, using the best quality leathers and with with quality being first and foremost - yet still at very reasonable prices.
Orca Bay also have a range of premium leather sailing and country boots; and a recently added rubber sailing wellie with a neoprene liner - at a very agreeable price!
We are proud to represent the best-known name in surfwear, Quiksilver - featuring tees, shirts, sweaters, shorts and denim and all sorts of accessories.
If surfwear isn't quite your cup-of-tea, we stock a selection of Musto and Helly Hansen leisurewear, including polos, trousers, fleeces hats and gloves. We also stock Buff neckwear and hats.
Last - but not least! - we are a dealer for the legendary Oakley eyewear.
Quicksilver parts & accessories
Quicksilver is Mercury Marine's aftermarket department, supplying everything from propellers to oils & lubes, filters, impellers and engine parts.
Whether you've got a Mercury or Mariner outboard; or a Mercruiser sterndrive, we stock a wide range of spare parts to get you back afloat as quickly as possible. We have access to the manufacturer's online parts system and can get overnight parts deliveries throughout the season, helping us
ABC Powermarine hold a considerable stock of Quicksilver performance products and we recommend their use to keep your engine running in the best condition.
Skis & Tubes
There's only so much cruising about that you can do - there comes a time when you want to get wet and enjoy the high-octane thrills and spills of blasting across the water on skis or in a biscuit (for the less well balanced!).
We stock a wide range of accessories, including Jobe skis, wakeboards and kneeboards and ski biscuits. We've also got all the accessories, such as ropes, clips, floats and ski vests.
Safety
When setting out to sea, it's important to plan for the worst possible outcome of your trip afloat. The most important pieces of equipment you carry aboard are those you don't want to use - life-jackets and Ikaros flares.
We stock a range of Kru inflatable lifejackets, as well as Crewsaver foam lifejackets, including for children. For watersports use, the Helly Hansen Rider vest has proved very popular and is keenly priced. Remember: life vests float - you don't.
Wetsuits
ABC Powermarine stock Osprey wetsuits (full suits and shorties, with plenty of choice of sizes and colours) and Osprey and Typhoon wetsuit boots.
Add to this a selection of Typhoon neoprene watersports gloves, Musto and Douglas Gill sailing gloves - and you'll barely have time for using one of our snorkel sets!
Inflatable Tenders and Kayaks
We stock a selection of yacht tenders, including Sunsport, Quicksilver Inflatables roll-ups and air-decks and Mercury Inflatables Dynamic RIBs. Although these were primarily designed as tenders, the Quicksilver Air Decks and Mercury Dynamic RIBs can be used as run-abouts in their own right, perfect for short trips and for exploring those out-of-the way rivers and creeks.
As a dealer for Ocean Kayaks, we have kayaks available from stock. Kayaks are a great way to get afloat at a low cost; and offer a great way of getting away from it all without fuss. They can even be used as a robust yacht tender!
