Vetus water lubricated cutlass bearings have a polyurethane-rubber lining and can be supplied with outer bearings made of either brass or phenolic resin.
Brass is the standard material for cutlass bearings and is suited for installation into bronze stern tubes, as used in GRP and wooden boats. Phenolic is lighter in weight and can not corrode and is ideally suited for installation into aluminium boats.
Vetus rubber bearings are, upon request, also available for larger shaft diameters and for other combinations of dimensions.
